Our Story
Borough Chocolates was founded in the heart of Brooklyn, New York in the summer of 2020 by Jessica Minghi. Jessica’s career was spent being built over the past couple decades in bakeries and Michelin fine dining in the Bay Area and New York City. After learning from some of the most notable Chefs in the industry, the pandemic abruptly put this to an end. This “ending” sparked a new beginning, and soon blossomed into what we now know as Borough Chocolates. Starting with small batch chocolates from a home studio & selling directly to buyers through social media and other outlets, the project quickly progressed. Outgrowing the small workspace, the Greenpoint storefront was launched & opened in the Fall of 2022.
Our chocolates are skillfully crafted in one of the five Boroughs of New York City. A bustling city with rich history- full of diversity and inspiration. Quietly tucked away in Brooklyn, we are proudly serving our Greenpoint community for over four years.
With a strong European influence & timeless inspirations, Borough Chocolates invigorates confections reminiscent of both the new & old world. Adding an artistic hand to a classical & technical craft.
At Borough Chocolates, we strive to deliver an elevated culinary experience using unique & familiar flavors. We are determined to showcase bold and diverse palettes through the quality of our products and couverture. Using only the best chocolates and ingredients. By combining our timeless love for fine food and fine art, we merge these two worlds for captivating, unique, and luxurious chocolates.
